Q. Is it weather proof?
A. Yes, Proximity Module, PAD and Warning Modules are sealed in a weather tight housing.

Q. Is it reliable?
A. Yes.  The architecture is based on our proven Proximity Detection systems developed for Coal Mining applications.  A stable magnetic  marker field is produced by the Proximity Module.  PADs worn by workers pick up the marker field and when the set distances are breached, warnings are issued.

Q. How many employees can use it?
A. Any employee equipped with a PAD is protected from all forklifts with a proximity module installed.  There are no limits to the number of employees that can be outfitted with PADs.

Q.  Who receives the warnings?
A. All employees with a PAD will receive a warning from a Proximity Module equipped forklift when they breach the warning or danger zones of the approaching forklift.

Q. How do the alerts work?
A. Both audio and visual alerts are given to the employee in harm's way. as well as the forklift operator.  When the warning zone is breached, they receive 5 short beeps with 5 short flashes from the warning module attached to their hardhat or lapel. When they enter the danger zone, the audio and visual alerts are now constant and will only reset once they leave the danger and warning zones.

Q.  Does it give false (Nuisance) alerts?
A. No.  Since only workers that violate the warning or danger zone of the forklift receive an alarm, it all but eliminates nuisance alarms.  The forklift operator is also free from alarms, but once out of the safety cage, is protect just like other on-foot workers.

Q. What if I have multiple vehicles?  Can they detect each other?
A. If you select a system with a VAD (Vehicle Alarm Device)  they will provide warning and danger alerts to the vehicle operators when other VAD equipped vehicles enter their zones.  They can be used solely to detect other vehicles, or used in conjunction with PADs to alert on-foot workers.

Q. Why is HazardAvert different than other systems?
A. It alerts each worker  individually if they enter a danger or warning zone instead of triggering a central alarm, plus the operator is also warned, reducing un-necessary work slow downs.   HazardAvert’s robust design uses technology developed and proven in some of the world’s toughest environments, so it’s able to handle the unique and varying conditions a forklift endures.  And with virtually no nuisance alarms, it enables workers to complete their tasks without interruption.
